How to provide transport

Volunteer drivers provide transport for young people using Nightstop emergency accommodation. They offer lifts from the organisation referring the young person (aged 16-25), to their volunteer hosts for the evening, and back the next morning. All young people are assessed for their suitability for the scheme before being offered accommodation.

Providing transport is a very practical way to help a young person needing accommodation in all of the areas we work in. Some of the journeys in Hambleton, Richmondshire, Ryedale and Scarborough are difficult by public transport.

You will need access to a properly insured and roadworthy car, and have a full driving licence.
